What is an evidence gap?

A scientific evidence gap means that there is insufficient evidence to support the overall effect of the intervention or method, i.e. evidence derived from a systematic review.

Filling evidence gaps involves the interaction between several stakeholders, and may be seen as an ecosystem in which all parts are dependent on one another.

Core Outcome Sets
