Ongoing Projects

SBU assess relevant and well-conducted research and investigate what effect different interventions have, if there are any risks or ethical problems, and what is most cost-effective in the areas of health care, dentistry, social services, and within the areas of functional disability and work environment.

Background

Non-pharmaceutical interventions (NPI) are public health measures that aim to prevent and/or control transmission of infectious diseases in the community. During the Covid-19 pandemic, most countries in the world introduced NPI:s to mitigate the spread of SARS-CoV-2. NPI:s have also been used to control the spread of other viruses, for example SARS, MERS, Influenza and Ebola.
